About Me

Picture
I am a Clinical Social Worker and Therapist who has been working with children, youth and families for 19 years in both Canada and the United Kingdom. I operate from a client-centered, strengths based and trauma informed perspective. Utilizing an eclectic approach I incorporate various modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapies, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Brief Therapies and Mindfulness practice.

I have over 9 years of education, obtaining my Social Service Worker Diploma, Bachelor of Social Work, and Master of Social Work from Dalhousie University. I frequently participate in trainings and certifications to continue to develop my skills and ensure best practice. I am a Registered Social Worker through the Ontario College of Social Workers.

My practice involves working with children, youth and adults who experience anxiety, depression, trauma and loss.  In addition I also work with couples around various concerns such as communication, intimacy, trust and conflict.

I am also a columnist for Metroland News and am frequently interviewed and have provided editorials for Newmarket Today.
